竹山木管楽器製作所 (日本)   Takeyama Recorder Workshop (Japan)

現代表、竹山宏之。1951年、竹山幸晴により創業。大阪の地場産業である織物に使用するボビンの製作をしていたが、1960年、大手の楽器商社より木製リコーダーの製作依頼を受け、木製リコーダーの製作に適した製作技術を独自に開発し、木製リコーダーの量産工程を実現させる。ボビンの製作技術を活かし得たその技術は、今も高く評価され、OEMでありながらも、日本の木製リコーダーの製作において先駆者的存在となる。
1987年、オリジナルの「タケヤマリコーダー」を完成させ、海外の展示会に出展。1993年、代表に竹山宏之が就いてからは、「竹山宏之リコーダー展」を2002年より毎年開催し、タケヤマリコーダーの普及を進める。2005年、多くの人に木製リコーダーを手にとって見てもらいたい、身近に感じてもらいたいという願いから、製作工場の一部を改装し、日本で初めての木製リコーダーを扱う専門店、「アンリュウリコーダーギャラリー」を開く。2007年にはタケヤマホールを完成させ、音楽イベントやリコーダー教室などを開催し、国内外の演奏家、愛好家により広く知られるようになった。
2007年、大阪産業振興機構「おおさか地域創造ファンド」の助成を受け、大阪ものづくり企業としての一端を担い、同年11月に「アンリュウリコーダーフェスティバル」を開催する。プロやアマチュアのコンサート・ワークショップなど、多彩なイベントを企画。毎年恒例となったこの催しを起点として、各地でもリコーダー関連のイベントが多く開催されるようになり、木製リコーダーの普及に大きな役割を果たした。2011年、大阪の活性化を目的としたネットワーク組織「なにわ名物開発研究会」より「第14回なにわ大賞」を授与される。
これまでに、2008年、東京国際フォーラムにて「タケヤマリコーダー東京展示会」を開催。海外においては、1987年より2013年まで、ボストン古楽祭に出展、1990年代前半より、代理店を通じてヨーロッパ各地の展示会に出展している。近年、竹山自身による海外出展に力を入れており、2010年、中国（上海）国際楽器展示会（中国）、2012年、オープン・リコーダー・ディズ・アムステルダム（オランダ）、2012年より、グリニッジ国際古楽祭（イギリス）、2013年、ユトレヒト古楽祭（オランダ）に出展した。
2013年11月、竹山宏之はアジア各国の演奏家、製作家、お客様に交流の機会を提供するために「Asian Recorder Festival」を主催し、大成功を収めた。

Takeyama Workshop was founded by Yoshiharu Takeyama in 1951. The workshop started to produce “bobbins” used for textile production, which was one of the major local industries in Sakai, Osaka. In 1960, a big music instrument dealer asked Takeyama Workshop to make wooden recorders. In 1963, the first ”prototype” of the tenor recorder was completed at Takeyama Workshop. Yoshiharu Takeyama developed special skills for recorder making on the basis of the original skills he had acquired through
manufacturing bobbins, and established the production process for making recorders. Takeyama Workshop became the pioneer in making wooden recorders, even though they only produced OEM products in the early days. Takeyama’s craftsmanship is highly regarded until today.
In June 1987, the first original recorder by Takeyama Workshop was completed, and was shown at an exhibition abroad. In February 1993, Hiroyuki Takeyama had taken over the workshop as the new manager. He started to promote their original recorders. In November 2002, the “Exhibition of Hiroyuki Takeyama Recorders” was held for the first time in Osaka. The exhibition was held every year from 2002 to 2005.
In December 2005, a part of the Workshop was remodeled and opened as the Anrieu Recorder Gallery, hoping to provide a place where anybody can come in to look at and touch wooden recorders. Anrieu Recorder Gallery was the first shop specializing in wooden recorder in Japan. In September 2007, a part of the Anrieu Recorder Gallery was converted into “Takeyama Hall,” where concerts, recorder classes and other events are regularly held. Now the hall is widely known among the recorder players and fans
from Japan and abroad.
In 2007, the workshop received a grant from the “Active Osaka Promotion Fund” sponsored by the Osaka Foundation for Trade and Industry, as a local business contributing to revitalizing the local industries and community through utillising local resources, including traditional craftsmanship and manpower. In November 2007, the1st “Anrieu Recorder Festival” was held at Takeyama hall. Various events including concerts and workshops by professional and amateur recorder players were held. The festival became a regular annual event, and it also encouraged Takeyama Workshop to participate in a lot more events in other parts of the country. (Recorder concert, workshops…) Takeyama Workshop played an important part in making wooden recorders more popular in Japan. In 2011, the workshop was awarded the “Naniwa Grand Prize” by the Naniwa Specialty Development Society, a local business network aiming for revitalization of the region.
The Workshop held the “Takeyama Recorder Workshop Exhibition in Tokyo” at the Tokyo International Forum in October 2008. It has participated in the exhibitions at the Boston Early Music Festival since 1987. It has also participated in the exhibitions in Europe through their agents since early 1990s. In recent years, Hiroyuki Takeyama himself has been attending the exhibitions abroad, including the “Music China” exhibition in Shanghai in 2010, the Open Recorder Days Amsterdam 2012, the Royal Greenwich International Early Music Festival in Britain since 2012, and the Utrecht Early Music Festival 2013 in the Netherlands.
In November 2013, Hiroyuki Takeyama hosted the “Asian Recorder Festival” to provide an opportunity for exchange between the players, the makers and the customers from Asian countries, and it was concluded with great success.
